Today's Special Guest Top 20 comes from actress Lena Headey, who happens to be a huge horror fan. I don't mean she's huge- she's actually rather small- but I mean that her love for the genre is boundless and she's always down to watch something scary. She told me I'd hate myself after watching Martyrs and she was pretty much right. I've introduced her to a few movies I love with about a 99% success rate, although I don't know if I'll ever truly forgive her when she said she didn't like Pieces.

Anyway, given her affection for Halloween and horror movies as well as her experience in such genre flicks as The Broken, Laid to Rest, and the classic* The Cave, I figured I'd ask her to tell us what her 20 favorites are. She pooped out before she came close to 20, but that's alright as she had to be on set at 4:30am for HBO's Game of Thrones and her brain hurt. I guess that's an excuse.

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974, Tobe Hooper)Just cause it's pure bloody brilliant and there ain't no finer movie to watch at a drive-in.
Wolf Creek (2005, Greg Mclean)Slightly believable- I will never backpack in the outback.
Child's Play (1988, Tom Holland)Chucky: creepy little shit.
The Hills Have Eyes (1977, Wes Craven)I think that started me on the road to horror addiction.
Let the Right One In (2008, Tomas Alfredson)Just beautiful. Every shot was a painting and the two leads broke my heart a little.
Martyrs (2008, Pascal Laugier)I just think it was a well executed concept. It held my interest and the first time I saw it I actually felt really angry...don't know why.
Black Christmas (1974, Bob Clark)OBVIOUSLY for the glass unicorn.
The House of the Devil (2009, Ti West)Controversial I know, but I just thought it was a well-done budget horror.
The Silence of the Lambs (1991, Jonathan Demme)Hopkins/Foster..."It rubs the lotion on its skin!"...Nuff said.
